Over 1,500 years ago, a curious goat named Kafi found a patch of special trees with bright red cherries. 

Shortly after eating a few of them, he was jumping around like he had springs in his hooves!

Kafi shared the cherries with the rest of his herd and soon they were all jumping around too! 

When the goat herder looked and saw the goats jumping around, he thought they had gone insane. 

But then he tried the cherries and he was jumpin like the goats! 

The cherries were then brewed into a special energizing drink.

They called this magic brew “coffee,” after Kafi, the beloved goat who discovered it.
